How can we as youth use this rare “freedom” to our advantage?
You’re already one step ahead by being on this website.
Experiencing a long period of time away from school because of a strike is pretty rare as a student, this is why many kids have no idea what to do. Should I study? Or maybe I should take it easy and hang out with my friends!
There is no right answer, however, we do know that successful people tend seeing an opportunity in everything. While many students are left confused in their homes, there's a small group of people utilizing every second of the strike. It can be as small as completing their driving lessons during weekdays, or practicing their sports more.
A great thing to do right now is to participate in volunteering in their community, or attending as many public events (university events if you are in high school) as possible.
We as youth can use this rare time off to engage in our communities in every way. Back during the COVID pandemic, a disadvantage we had was not being able to access public places because of the danger of catching the virus, however, now students truly have no limits as to what they can do during the week.
Success loves people who don’t wait for school to start learning. This is an opportunity where you can learn anything you desire, especially with the advanced AI that we have.
Make it your goal to learn one new thing (does not have to be school related! It can be coding, art, a language, or even learning about a historical event) by the end of the strike!
